Raleigh started off in 1887 on Raleigh Street in Nottingham England, they grew over the years to become what was then the largest bicycle manufacturers in the world. At their peak they bought up almost every other bicycle maker in addition to owning BROOKS saddles, Sturmey Archer Hubs and Reynolds tubing.
They are now owned by the Derby Cycle group and after a lull during the 80′s and 90′s have once again became one of the more well renowned bicycle brands for both high end quality bikes and very afforadable entry level bikes.
