Commuters/Hybrids

We always have a large selection of commuter style hybrid and comfort bikes in stock from brands such as HARO, MASI, KHS, Louis Garneau, Fuji, Asama, Diamond Back and Raleigh.

We have a wide range of basic entry level bikes in the $300-$450 range. Generally more geared towards rider comfort than efficiency making them ideal bikes for light usage. These bikes are sometimes referred to as “COMFORT” bikes.
Examples of “COMFORT” bikes would be models such as the LOUIS GARNEAU Horizon’s, the FUJI Crosstown, or the ASAMA Foothills.
Our entry level “Hybrid” bike is the ASAMA Luddite, these are in the same price range as many comfort bikes, but are designed to take the abuses of all weather daily commuting. Fairly light, comes with a cassette hub, steel frame, v-brakes, fully and easily adjustable stem and under $400!

Bikes in the $400-$700 range are designed to be much lighter and come with higher end components than “comfort” bikes. If your planning on riding in all weather, daily commuting and heavier usage in general. This style of bike is more of a “work horse”. Investing a little more in a bike designed for heavy usage will save you money and energy in the long run!

These bikes are referred to as “HYBRIDS” or “COMMUTER” bikes.
Examples of “Hybrids” in the $400-$700 price range would be models such as the LOUIS GARNEAU Urbania Models, Haro Roscoe or Gomez (they make it into this category due to our blowout sale prices on these models!

The HARO Gomez comes with a 6061 Aluminum frame and fork, Disc Brakes! Deore derailleur, Ritchey stem and all quality parts. These retail at around $900, we have them on SALE for only $519!! only 14,16 inch sizes left!

Bikes in the $700-$1,200 price range are referred to as “PERFORMANCE HYBRIDS”. They come with top of the line parts and accessories, making them as light weight and efficient as possible with little expense spared in the way of materials and workmanship. If you want to get yourself where you are going as quickly as possible on a bike that can take racks, fenders and carry weight, this might be the option for you.

The HARO Sanford is an example of a “Performance Hybrid”, it has a 6061 aluminum frame/carbon fork, weighs about 25lbs!!! comes with FSA cranks and Deore LX derailleur and all quality parts throughout!
